The Process

1. Planning... Planning is key to the success of the process. Here we set expectations, assign responsibilities and develop timetables. We talk about the integration of the web presence into the organization. We consider the options...

2. Design... During the design phase we make decisions regarding the overall appearance of the website.  We select a design framework that includes color, photographs, graphics and type of pages. We also discuss and select e-commerce techniques and talk about how they will be used.

3. Photography... Most people take pretty good photographs. However, the photographs needed for your photo essay are often rather specialized.  It is sometimes easiest and quickest if Maine Web Networks takes the pictures. With our specialized digital cameras, we can make short work of the photography!

4. Writing the copy... As with photographs, most people write pretty well. And they understand their business. Sometimes, however, it facilitates the process if we actually write the copy.  For review and adjustment by the client.

5. creation of the website... Once the planning, design, photography and writing are done, the rest is pretty simple. But it needs to be done well... And in a timely fashion.

5. Regular Maintenance... After the party to celebrate the new website, we need to think about how to keep it fresh and alive. And your website is not a static thing.   From the traffic statistics we will learn which pages seem to working better than others.   And make adjustments as necessary. Your website is really a living, evolving entity.  Like a garden, it needs to be tended!
